12 people injured in road mishap


Lamjung: Twelve people were injured in a jeep accident at Kalimati, near Marsyangdi rural municipality-8 in the district this morning.
The accident took place when the jeep heading towards peace hill from Simpani fell some 50 meters off the road. The jeep was carrying students and teachers of Ganesh Secondary School at Simpani, said Homraj Tamang of Bhusme.
Problem has surfaced to rescue two persons from the jeep while 10 others have been rescued and are being brought to District Hospital.
A police team from Khudi Police Post has reached the incident site and carrying out rescue operation.
Further details of the accident are awaited.

Two killed in truck accident
Martadi: Two persons died in a road accident at Kapri of Jagannath rural municipality-6 in Bajura district this morning.
The deceased have been identified as Mohan Joshi, 42, of Banke district and BP Shahi of Tajakot rural municipality-3, said Assistant Sub-Inspector at Juddi Police Post, Bir Singh Thagunna.
The accident took place when a truck (Bhe 1 Kha 3468) heading towards Humla from Nepalgunj fell some 500 meters down from the cliff.
Truck driver and driver’s helper died on the spot in the accident. Police have been carrying out further investigation into the incident. RSS
