North Carolina [USA]: A cat from a North Carolina animal shelter has been bombarded with applications for adoption after it went viral on Facebook due to its cold and menacing disposition.
According to Fox News, the feline — Perdita — has been deemed as a “jerk” and “world’s worst cat” by the workers at the Mitchell County Animal Rescue. The shelter officials gave a rather hilarious description of Perdita on their Facebook page along with an image where the cat can be seen gazing forward with judgemental eyes.
The lengthy but worth-reading caption of the Facebook post said: “Meet Perdita, not for the faint of heart. LIKES: staring into your soul until you feel as if you may never be cheerful again; the song Cat Scratch Fever, the movie Pet Cemetery (Church is her hero), jump scares (her specialty), lurking in dark corners, being queen of her domicile, fooling shelter staff into thinking she’s sick (vet agrees…she’s just a jerk) DISLIKES: the color pink, kittens (yuk they are so chipper), dogs, children, the Dixie Chicks, Disney movies, Christmas and last but NOT least…HUGS. She’s single and ready to be socially awkward with a socially awkward human who understands personal space. FREE ADOPTION ;)”
Going by the response which the cat received online, it was quite apparent that people chose to ignore its flaws, and for this reason, she received more than 50 adoption application within a relatively short span of time
While the post continues to be showered with thousands of likes and shares, Fox News reported that even a vet at the facility allegedly thinks that Perdita is a total “jerk”. (ANI)
