NCP Dahal-Nepal Group Chair duo leave for Kathmandu


Chitwan: The two Chairmen of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Dahal-Nepal Group, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal, have left here for Kathmandu following the revocation by the Supreme Court of the dissolution of the House of Representatives.
The chairman duo was arrived here in connection with participating in a protest assembly pre-scheduled for today. The Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court on Tuesday revoked the decision on December 20 of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to dissolve the House of Representatives, the lower house of the Federal parliament.
The protest assembly has been transformed into a victory rally following the Supreme Court’s decision of reinstating the dissolved HoR.
According to Press Organisation’s leader Suresh Chandra Adhikari, Dahal and Nepal have returned to Kathmandu while the other party leaders will address the ‘victory rally’. The two top leaders left for Kathmandu by plane at 10.45 am today, he said.
“They left the scheduled programme here as they have to involve in important meetings and consultations in Kathmandu,” Adhikari said.
Surendra Pandey, Narayan Dahal, Renu Dahal, among the NCP leaders will address the rally.
The Dahal-Nepal Group has also called the meeting of the NCP parliamentary party this afternoon.
