Kathmandu: Minister for Finance Janardan Sharma has urged the private sectors to make strong efforts for production centric economy in the country. Speaking in the second AGM of the FNCCI-Kathmandu chapter on Saturday, Minister Sharma opined to replace the imports by increasing exports of the domestic goods.
Minister Sharma said that the ordinary efforts would not be enough to increase the exports of the goods and make economy productive therefore the country needs additional endeavours. He also said that the government would move ahead, considering the effect of COVID-19 hit economy and it was somehow addressed by monetary policy unveiled on Friday.
Minister also seeks suggestions and policy from private sectors to ensure the self-reliant economy in the country. He also stressed on enhancing national capital and inviting foreign investment after proper evaluation of the national capital.
Similarly, FNCCI Chair Shekhar Golchha termed that the monetary policy was positive as it was addressing the problems of reviving the COVID-19 hit economy and specially the issues of extending middle scale entrepreneurship. Golchha shared that the FNCCI was preparing National Economy Transformation 2030 (NET 2030) with a goal of reaching national capital equal to 150 billion US dollar in 10 years.
He also shared that additional 2.2 million employment opportunities would be created by with NET. Chair Golchha also viewed that for the purpose, 10 priority sectors and 100 initiation identifications were prepared.
Similarly, FNCCI Kathmandu chapter Chair Dinesh Shrestha urged government to bring ‘One PAN: One Vaccine’ policy to ensure anti COVID-19 vaccines to all entrepreneurs. The event was organized in a virtual way. RSS
